baking on a saturday afternoon
the coziest of pies, oatmeal pie. best served warm, for breakfast or anytime. while I forgot to take a picture of this pie before it was devoured last night, I suppose that’s proof in and of itself that this pie is good. sweet and hearty, I decided to pair this with a part-whole wheat crust. the recipe for the crust is from epicurious, very easy to handle, and still quite flaky, inspiring me to up the ratio of whole wheat flour next time I make it.
